Personality & Traits

General Overview		F'ianna was a loyal officer to the Empire. Since the loss of the Hearthworlds she has had a crisis in faith. Both the Tal Shiar and Senate have chosen consolidation of power over trying to heal the Empire. It makes F'ianna wonder if her loyalties were misplaced. For now, she serves Starfleet, an organization she once held in contempt.
Strengths & Weaknesses		F'ianna can react fast and think on her feet. She is an experienced officer and very sure of her abilities. She finds it hard to get close to anyone. The aftermath of the Hobus Event turned her entire worldview on its head.
Ambitions		While some part of F'ianna wants to reconnect to the Romulan community, she is still a very bitter woman. She is still trying to discover where here loyalties lay.
Hobbies & Interests		Before Hobus, F'ianna enjoyed singing, dancing, and music. After that, she spends her free time self medicating with alcohol.

Personal History		F'ianna was born into an old military family that had an unwavering loyalty to the Romulan Star Empire. They had a large compound in the province of Tikal. From birth, she was groomed as an officer and perhaps she would have to sacrifice her life for the Empire's interests. Before she could serve the Empire, F'ianna had to grow up. For most that isn't perilous, but F'ianna was small and shy as a child. The cadre running her junior academy declared her unfit. The Romulan Star Empire does not squander resources on the unfit. At aged sixteen, F'ianna was put into an arena with a blade in her hand. The other child was a girl of F'ianna's age, her flaw was her low intelligence. The fight was brutal, both fighter were cut to ribbons. F'ianna's blade eventually found the throat of the other girl. F'ianna never lost the stigma of her being classified as unfit. Because she came from a long military line, there were rumors that the fight was rigged. F'ianna made few friends as a child, her head buried in military theory books. She also studied the musical arts, she found them to be a good escape. Family connections helped F'ianna get admitted into the prestigious Imperial War College. For seven years, she studied military theory. F'ianna was chosen to serve as a bridge officer.
Starfleet History		Shortly before F'ianna graduated from the war college, the Romulan Empire entered the Dominion War. The Empire found itself short on fighter pilots. While F'ianna was trained as a flight control officer, she was assigned to a fighter squadron." The 1118th Fighter Wing was hastily formed and sent into combat. F'ianna was assigned as flight leader. The 1118th was sent to the Cardassian border. Their first task was to destroy an orbital fortress guarding a mining colony. The attack was uncoordinated and went in piecemeal. The Fortress was destroyed but the wing lost half its strength. The wing commander was arrested and the wing reorganized and fortified with Reman conscripts. A Dominion incursion into Romulan space provided the next fight for the 1118th. The wing fought more competently this time. F'ianna's flight did particularly well, destroying several Jem'hadar attack ships. The 1118th flew scores of sorties during the war. From ambushing Breen ships to destroying Dominion supply depots, they pilots performed well. F'ianna was promoted to squadron leader after her predecessor was shot down. On the final attack on Cardassia Prime, F'ianna's squadron was chosen to vanguard the attack. The orbital defenses the Dominion built were formidable. F'ianna used her two flights of Reman fighters to act as cannon fodder. While the Reman pilots were bleed white, the Romulan pilots managed to breach the defense system. Using Remans as an expendable resource is normal for Romulan military operations and F'ianna was praised by her leaders keeping Romulan casualties low. She was, however, very unpopular with the Reman pilots of her fighter wing. While the 1118th was station on a D'Deridex class, she was ambushed in the flight hangar by two Remans. The vengful Remans stabbed her several times. Had singularity technicians working on the fighters not chased off her attackers, F'ianna would have been killed. The commander of the Romulan warbird decided that F'ianna was a liability to the security of his ship. He had F'ianna transferred to a Starfleet hospital vessel for emergency surgery. The Reman culprits were never caught. F'ianna never returned to the 1118th. When the Shinzon began the Reman coup, F'ianna's mother, Isha, was an instructor at the Imperial War College. When the Reman commandoes overran the college, they executed many cadre and cadets. Isha was slung up by her wrists and used as target practice by the Remans. F'ianna received this news when she was assigned to a Preax class ship operating near the Klingon border. The commander of the Preax wanted to dispose of the Reman commandos on her vessel. When she ordered the warbird control officer to open the airlock to the commando quarters, he balked. The commander then looked to F'ianna. Remembering what the Remans had done to her and her mother, F'ianna opened the airlock. Nine Remans were then pulled out into the void. F'ianna was serving as the Flight Control Officer on a Valdore class when the Hobus Event happened. Despite the Senate's attempt to keep the military together, the crew of her ship joined a rouge Admiral. F'ianna commandeered a shuttle and left the ship. With her were crew that were still loyal to the Empire. They found their way to Federation space and asked for political asylum, which was granted. For her entire life, F'ianna was a soldier. Now, she found herself in the civilian sector. Working as crew on a civilian freighter was difficult for F'ianna. She eventually applied for Starfleet and was accepted.
Service Record		2367-74- Imperial War College: Trained as a flight Control officer. 2374-75- Uhlan assigned to the 1118th 'Storm Raven' Fighter Wing. 2375-85- Promoted to Decurion and assigned to a Preax class destroyer. Missions include science, reconnaissance, and sabotage missions. 2385-87- Promoted to Centurion and assigned to Valdore class ship as a chief flight control officer.
