Guess Who?

Posted on Mon May 24th, 2021 @ 1:10am by Senior Chief Petty Officer Sharona Deluna & Major Samuel Braddock

Mission: S2:3: Snow Drift
Location: Command Deck

Sam had managed to board the station with minimal fuss with a smooth ‘hands on’ approach. More often than not, he preferred to handle his own fighter rather than trusting a computer to handle the tricky process that was a landing and not turn him into a splotch of red on the hangar deck that needed to be mopped up by the maintenance teams. Climbing down a small metal ladder that the deck chief rolled up to the aircraft, he deftly caught the duffel that had been stored in the cargo compartment and tossed by a rather burly Marine Sergeant before his fighter was towed off for maintenance checks.

Slinging the bag over his shoulder, he ducked a passing tram that was carrying a group of civilians out of the cavernous bay and headed for the closest turbo lift he could find, managing to squeeze in between two golden collared Chief Warrant Officer Fives who were grumbling over a PADD and some excess work that they had been called to do. Keying in his destination for Command Ops, he waited as the lift whizzed through each of its destinations, depositing each of its passengers. After what seemed like an eternity, the lift finally slid to a smooth stop to reveal the administrative section of the station. Stepping out, he looked around and oddly couldn’t find anyone. Walking down the passageway, he stopped in front of a desk that seemed to act as a gatekeeper for the offices behind it. Sitting at it appeared to be an immensely beautiful, white haired woman that almost seemed to glow. Taking a look at her collar, Sam could see that she wore the insignia of a Senior Chief Petty Officer.

“Good afternoon, Senior. I’m looking for Captain Ingram. Is he available?” He asked, adjusting the straps of the bag as they were starting to dig into his shoulder.

She wraps those hands around that pole
She licks those lips and off we go
And she takes it off nice and slow
'Cause that's porn star dancin'

She don't play nice, she makes me beg
And she drops that dress around her legs
And I'm sittin' right by the stage
And it's porn star dancin'

Came from hidden speakers around the Senior Chief's desk and her aqua blue eyes widened upon seeing a humanoid Marine with fair hair and blue eyes standing there and had apparently just asked her a question. Fortunately, she had heard the name Ingram and quickly shut off the music.

"And you are?" She asked as she pulled up a personnel manifest and went into Administrative Mode. She gave a tilt of her head, sending her pale white hair off to one side and exposed a long, delicately pointed ear and looked at the wiry man. For a Marine, he didn't look all that impressive physically, but the hardened look on his face was one she was willing to bet was put there by experience.

Sam noted the archaic music but decided not to make a point of it. “Major Sam Braddock. I’ll be your new CAG.” He said quickly, handing her the PADD containing his orders from Commodore Grissom.

An airman. That would explain his build, Sharona noted as she accepted his PADD and quickly looked it over before cross referencing the personnel files. She glanced over them seemingly too fast to memorize or even read anything and looked back up at him.

"Unfortunately, Major Braddock, Captain Ingram is currently off the station. I'm his Yeoman, Senior Chief Deluna, at your service until such time as he arrives back," she said. "How may I help you?"

Sam smiled slightly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Senior Chief. I’m just looking for the check-in special- Quarters, a map, security clearances aboard the station, and a departmental manifest if you have it. Also, what’s good to eat around here? I’ve been surviving on rations and replicated coffee for the past two weeks and I’m craving some actual food.” He said, his tone uncharacteristically casual

"Well, Major Braddock, the Selelvian said. "The best I can do is give you a PADD with a station map, the departmental personnel, and point you to the Medina. That's our version of the Promenade." She lowered her voice. "Don't buy anything there without scanning it twice." She raised her voice back to normal. "And as for your quarters, you need to check in with Operations, then Medical. Any other questions, Sir?"

Sam smiled a bit. “None. Just a request or two- if you ever have time for an in-depth tour, I’d love one. Also, if you could let Ops and Medical I’m coming, I’d appreciate it.” He said quickly. “I’ll take that PADD now if you don’t mind.”

Sharona handed it to him with a smile. "This has everything you need on it from a full station map to which body mod places to avoid as well as a full list of medically cleared or bribed brothels that may or may not be on the sation."

Taking a look at the map contained on the PADD, he located Operations, which appeared to be one deck down from his current location.

"If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask," she said.

Sam flashed a smile. "Absolutely, Senior Chief. I'll see you around." he said before he turned on his heel and walked back down the corridor.
